A landing page for an AI passion project. Tolemy initially started as an idea that I had for a fun side project but figured I'd work on it and try to turn into a startup.

Over the summer I started work as a front-desk receptionist at my nearby gym. Soon after, I realized their website was a bit outdated and spent my time developing a new site for them. Their old site can be found wflfitnesscenter.com.

This was the first website I created when I was just in High School. I was the Editor in Chief of my schools newspaper and after seeing the unmaintained and outdated online Newspaper site, I took the initiative to rebuild and rebrand the site anew. I ended up builidng the site from ground up and recreated the branding and logo of the newspaper which is still being used to this day. During my time in Newspaper, I was a recipient of dozens of awards as a journalist including an award for Top School Newspaper sites, Philip C. Geraci award for Excellence in Journalism, and 1/2 high school students in my state to win a YoungTerps Scholarship to take a journalism course at University of Maryland.

Education and practical experience
Hello. I’m Nigus, a passionate Developer, Designer and Brand Strategist. For as long as I can remember, I've been an inquisitive self-learner, curious about how things work and what it means to be creative.
I started filmmaking and doing graphics design when I was 12; and soon after, I was building my own websites at 16 and spent my college years working on various startup projects and working as a freelance web-developer while studying Philosophy and Mathematics at one of the most rigorous and oldest programs in the country.
I’d say this curiosity and experience has shaped the creative vision I have for every product and brand I work with today.

CS50x Live is an online version of Harvard University's introductory computer science course, CS50, offering a comprehensive introduction to computer science and programming. It covers foundational topics like algorithms, data structures, and web development through interactive lectures and problem sets.
Industrial Design

I had developed an interest for product design at a certain point and won a $2000 scholarship to take a 4 month industrial design program where I took courses in Sketching, Digital Discourse, Digital tools and Digital Methods under the instruction of renowned industry experts Spencer Nugget, Hector Silva and Kat Reiser.
Montgomery College
As a high school student I took college courses in English 102, Intro to linguistics, Sociocultural Anthropology, Intro to World Mythology, and Comm 104- Voice and Diction.
Work experience
Front Desk Specialist and Website Developer
I managed the front desk where I helped with filing, sales and any IT, troubleshooting and tech support in the our system. Additionally, I'm also responsible for creating our current website for the gym including the integration of a booking system for our classes.
Server
I worked at a high scale fast paced restaurant [and dinner events] where I greeted, took orders and interacted with distinguished guests of the military and the government.
Freelance Cinematographer and Graphics Designer
I worked as a Cinematographer for various local events and artist and was part of the music group requiem inc where I helped with the creative direction, branding, videography, editing and graphics design. I also worked on various projects for the biggest Ethiopian broadcasting companies including GoheTV and EBS.
